Siemens Industry Automation & Drive Technologies has extended its Simatic HMI operator panels to include a series of devices offering high performance and functionality for more demanding applications.

Simatic HMI Comfort Panels are available in touchscreen versions or with tactile keys – each with screen diagonal sizes of 4, 7, 9 and 12in. 15—22in versions are currently being developed, and all are configured using the Simatic WinCC V11 engineering software from Siemens Totally Integrated Automation portal.

Features include remotely variable LED backlighting, interfaces for Profinet and Profibus networks, USB port and zero voltage security without an uninterruptible power supply.

All device settings are performed during configuration, so simplifying commissioning, and all data is saved on a system card that can also be used for project transfer.
