The latest edition of 'A practical guide to machinery safety', sponsored by Laidler Associates, is now available for free download from the Laidler website.

Machinery safety directive guide now as free downloadPaul Laidler, of Laidler (which is part of the machinery division of TÜV SÜD Product Service), believes the publication makes essential reading.

He makes the point that the guide has been updated to cover the latest on relevant legislation, including the EMC and Low Voltage Directives, as well as the most recent changes to the Machinery Directive.

The guide also covers risk assessment and hazard analysis, and step-by-step advice on CE marking and PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations).

"Things have moved on since the first publication of this guide ,and the response that we have received regarding its usefulness to those dealing with machinery safety has been really positive," comments Laidler.

"As before, the guide aims to benefit both machine builders and end users… This guide will help bridge the gap in understanding between the two," he adds.
