Maintenance, service and repair engineering group Deritend Industries has landed the five-year, multi-million pound plant improvement contract from Anglian Water.
Anglian Water – which is responsible for wastewater treatment works, reservoirs and development sites all the way from Humberside to the Thames Estuary and Northampton in the west – has confirmed Deritend as a MEICA subcontractor partner for the full AMP5 period until March 2015, with an option on the AMP6 framework.
The initial AMP5 MEICA contract involves mechanical and electrical refurbishment and installations throghout Anglian's water and wastewater treatment processes over the next five years.
With Anglian under pressure to drive down costs through innovation and efficiency, while also maintaining a strong customer focus, Deroitend regional manager Mike Smith is expecting significant demand.
"We … will make sure that the delivery of service, maintenance carried out and any field-based repair operations are carried out to the highest of standards," states Smith.
"This type of landmark contract has a substantial requirement for highly skilled field engineers, which Deritend are proud to be able to offer on a long term basis," he adds.
