Brevini has extended its S-series of high torque planetary gearboxes to deliver even higher capacity – up from 34—370kNm over eight models, to 530—2,500kNm in five new harmonically developed sizes.
Larger sizes are also available on request, and Brevini says that its S-series is all about high torque, space saving and reliability. In fact, the firm claims a 40—60% reduction in size and weight against traditional gear solutions.
The company says that up to four reduction stages can be configured as standard, with both in-line and right-angle versions.
Additional stages can also be incorporated to achieve extremely high reduction ratios while maintaining high efficiency.
Also, output shaft options include female splined, hollow cylindrical, male cylindrical and male splined, while the gear unit input can incorporate multiple motor adaptors – electric, hydraulic, etc.
Applications include mixing, industrial and port lifting equipment, mining and quarrying equipment, extruders, steel production and processing plant.
