Flir's latest website download is a free 48-page guide to the thermal imaging technology, aimed at wannabe thermographers.
 The publication provides a good grounding in industrial and building infrared, with content taking the reader through camera design, how they work and why the technology is so important.
It also offers an overview of typical applications and guidance on choosing the right camera supplier.
Subsequent chapters explore the science behind thermography and how to identify appropriate camera features, as well as how to achieve the best results with thermal inspection.
