Emerson Process Management has acquired toxic and combustible gas detectors manufacturer Net Safety Monitoring to expand its range for process controls and safety monitoring.
 Calgary, Canada-based Net Safety, which also manufacturers flame detectors, safety systems and other safety and security products, focuses on extreme industrial environments, such as those on oil and gas plants.
"Together we will be able to help not only manage and control processes, but also to ensure the safety of our customers' people, facilities and property," stgates Ken Biele, president of Emerson Process Management's Analytical Group.
Net Safety and its sales and support offices in Calgary, Houston, Abu Dhabi, Beijing and Singapore will continue operating as a separate business within Emerson Process Management's Analytical Group.
