Specialist centrifugal pumps developer Amarinth, has received an initial order for $300,000 worth of process pumps for installation at the Sahil and Shah fields in Abu Dhabi.
These fields are part of the huge Full Field Development project, and the order – for four ISO 5199 C-Series horizontal pumps and four ISO 5199 T-Series vertical sump pumps – was placed by Spanish engineering and construction firm Tecnicas Reunidas.
Tecnicas Reunidas was awarded Package B for Full Field last year by Abu Dhabi Company for Oil Operations (ADCO).
Amarinth had already won an order for $4million worth of equipment earlier this year there – this from Petrofac for API 610 pumps for use in Package A.
Oliver Brigginshaw, managing director of Amarinth, says the firm drew on its experience with ADCO to guide and advise Tecnicas Reunidas, and adds that the two companies are now in discussions over additional pumps for the same contract, which will be fast tracked.
