Energy calculator App emerges from ABB
November 2010 Email to a friend   Comment on this article
ABB has launched a free energy calculator application (App) for the Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod.

Energy calculator App emerges from ABBThe App allows plant engineers to calculate the energy savings they can achieve by installing variable speed drives to control motors.

Users simply select: their industry; operating duty; voltage, phase and motor power rating; running hours; and electricity cost.

The app then estimates how much CO2, energy and costs can be saved – and displays a picture of the most suitable drive, with a product summary. You can then link direct for more information.
