NOV Mono UK awarded Carbon Trust standard

NOV Mono has become the first progressing cavity pump manufacturer in the UK to be awarded the Carbon Trust standard for reducing its carbon emissions by more than 21% over the past three years.

NOV Mono UK awarded Carbon Trust standardMono was awarded the certification for energy management achievements at its Manchester manufacturing site and for its implementation of a carbon policy, with carbon footprint reduction targets of 20% between 2008 and 2011.

Says the firm's safety health and environmental manager Dave Collinge: "Being awarded the Carbon Trust standard is an extremely positive step... As we play a key part of the supply chain across many industries, standards such as this also go a long way to helping our customers try and meet their sustainability targets."

"Achieving the Carbon Trust standard allows Mono Pumps to talk with integrity to their stakeholders, consumers and investors about the serious and credible steps the company has taken to reduce its carbon emissions."
