Condensing oil boiler aims for low carbon

LogoCondense and CarboCondense together provide a high output steel pressure jet boiler with a patented carbon heat exchanger that can safely and efficiently condense and clean boiler flue gases.

Condensing oil boiler aims for low carbonUnveiled by Potterton Commercial, part of Baxi Commercial Division, the company believes there is no other oil-fired boiler with the carbon heat exchanger, vital for this type of boiler to operate in condensing mode.

Briefly, LogoCondense is a high performance, one-piece, steel shell, forced draught, high efficiency boiler range, with compact dimensions for easy installation. Meanwhile, CarboCondense is its external condensing heat exchanger, which can be used with both gaseous and liquid fuel burners.

The condensing heat exchanger increases efficiency by 14% with gas firing and 8.5% with oil, compared to a low temperature boiler alone.

Available in two models (98kW and 131kW), the combination is aimed at new build but also low carbon replacement heating system projects that could be integrated with other LZC (Low to Zero Carbon) technologies.
