Couplings manufacturer Bibby Transmissions is now the official European repair centre for the Ameridrives range of high performance diaphragm couplings.
 Its couplings are typically used for turbo machinery power transmission applications, such as gas compression, power generation and marine propulsion plant.
"This appointment is good news for users of Ameridrives couplings in Europe," says Steve Broomhead, business unit manager Bibby's Turboflex Division in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. "It means that damaged but repairable diaphragm couplings will no longer have to be sent back to the USA."
Broomhead comments that his firm is offering a much faster turn-around time. "Ameridrives is our sister company within the Altra Industrial Motion Group… [So] we understand each others' products implicitly," he adds.
Bibby also has many years of experience in the repair of all types of couplings, backed by a significant investment in dynamic balancing equipment.
