Rental robot rises for personal protective equipment
August 2010 Email to a friend   Comment on this article
Draeger's Rental Robot has been designed to provide plants with a round-the-clock automatic supply of safety equipment, such as masks, portable gas detectors and consumables.

Rental robot rises for personal protective equipmentBy recording how often devices are used, it also supports material planning.

Employees simply log on at the service station, using a barcode or RFID tag, and can access permitted devices, according to their user data.

Using a touch screen, products can then be selected and removed or returned to the station's compartment. And it's not just for Draeger products: the firm says its Rental Robot can be filled with other devices or tools, too.
