Fuel-cell powered generator
July 2010 Email to a friend   Comment on this article
A fuel-cell powered electricity generator from BOC brings emissions-free operation to small-scale, energy-efficient lighting and cordless power tools.

Fuel cell powered generatorHymera is hydrogen-powered – so clean, quiet and only releasing water vapour emissions. It is intended as an environmentally-friendly alternative to diesel or petrol powered generators, for use where electricity is not available.

"One unit can provide enough power to light up a tennis court," says Stewart Dow, packaged energy manager at BOC. "It has already been tested for theatre lighting and also in the rail industry."
