Massive currents
March 2010 Email to a friend   Comment on this article
New current sensors add very high-current measurements to Yokogawa's precision power meters.

Developed and manufactured by Hitec Power Protection in the Netherlands, the new Zero-Flux sensors handle up to several thousand amps, including simultaneous measurement of ac and dc currents, while also providing phase-shift information. Other features include isolation from primary circuits, high stability and accuracy, high bandwidth, saturation detection with automatic reset after over-current, and the ability to switch on devices with current already present.
