If you need to measure and control multiple channels of process I/O, take a look at the CMC-99 PID controller, from Impress Sensors & Systems.

Multi channel PID controller has touch screen displayThe unit has been equipped with three card slots, each with 16 I/O pin options, so you can choose any combination of inputs and outputs – from 48 analogue current or voltage inputs to 16 relay/SSR outputs.

Equally, it could handle: 24 thermocouple inputs; 12 RTD inputs; or a combination. The unit also incorporates a 24V dc digital input, enabling relays and triggers.

Impress reckons the new unit is lower cost than competitors and says it is suited to a wide range of process applications – from multi-zone heating control to intermediate pumping station control, spraying and heating control for greenhouses and control of industrial furnaces and incinerators.

It measures 96mm x 96mm x 100mm, and has a 3.5-inch backlit colour TFT display, with touch-screen menu navigation, and a USB interface for offline programs.
