Condition monitoring device is all in one

Vibrocontrol 1500, from Brüel & Kjær Vibro, is a powerful but low-cost all-in-one condition monitoring solution that covers casing vibration, rolling-element bearing condition and temperature simultaneously at two bearings on a machine.

Condition monitoring device is all in oneIntroduced by Cepstra (UK), its acceleration sensor AS-062/T1 integrates a temperature sensor in the housing, so eliminating additional components, wiring and installation costs.

Vibration measurement is in to ISO 10816 and both measured values are shown on the unit's the display, along with percentage of set limit. Excursions beyond the limit are also shown on the front LED and signalled via built-in relays for alert and danger alarms.

Incidentally, for acquiring the rolling-element bearing condition, the unit performs a DFT (discreet Fourier transform) of the sensor signal and compares the largest RMS against the value of the bearing 'as new'. It also provides for trend measurement.
