A 400-page Fenner drive design manual is being described as a 'must have' reference guide to power transmission products for plant and maintenance engineers.

Drive design manualThe latest version adds more than 100 pages of products and technical knowledge, including innovative energy saving solutions. It also covers drives all the way from the electrical inputs to driven machines.

New to this years' ranges are: Fenner FM series motors in premium and standard efficiency; enhanced performance Fenner Plus roller chain and sprockets; and the Fenner QD (QuickDrive) Series of inverters.
The latter include: energy saving HVAC inverters, high torque flux vector inverters; and water- and dust-protected inverters for aggressive environments.

Others include a high shock resistant, high-reduction cycloidal gearbox range. The Fenner Cyclo comes in foot; flange and face mount configurations, with torque ratings to 68,000Nm.

A re-engineered Fenner Series F transmission is also available, with uprated bearings, seals and precision internals that deliver a longer service life in harsh conditions.

Also new this year are additions to the Fenner range of maintenance and installation tools, including a laser alignment tool for precision set-up of gearboxes, indirect open drives and many other power transmission components.
