Gas detection firm Crowcon has expanded the capabilities of its Tetra:3 personal multi-gas detector, with three toxic gas sensors for ozone, sulphur dioxide and ammonia.

Three new sensors for intrinsically safe portable gas detectorsAimed at the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food and beverage processing industries, as well as water and wastewater treatment facilities, the new units feature a top-mount display and the capacity to detect up to four gases at once.

Crowcon also points to the intuitive, single button operation, essential for users with gloved hands, and says that, if hazards are detected, the T3 gives rapid warning with a 95 dBA audible alarm, a bright red/blue LED and vibration.

The units also feature a shatterproof housing with rubber over-moulding, providing shock and vibration coverage and protection to IP67, and weigh in at sub 300gm – with lithium-ion battery power for over 18 hours continuous operation from a single charge.
