Smart pressure control valve
January 2010 Email to a friend   Comment on this article
A high-flow, proportional pressure relief valve, from Eaton, with integrated control electronics on a standard 7-pin connector, looks interesting.

Catchilly named KBCG5-3, the unit complements Eaton's KB series by extending capacity to 40l/min, with the same features. Its integral amplifier has preset pressure ratings to help ensure consistent pressure gain settings and valve-to-valve performance repeatability.

Other features include IP65/67 protection, choice of voltage and current command supply five pressure settings, and good hysteresis and linearity stability. There is also electrical power down failsafe protection.
